Fantastic Wedding for Sarah and George at All Saints' Chapel!

Sarah and George met back in 2005 when they were both river guides in Western North Carolina. After a few trips down the river, they got to know each other and started dating. In 2010 Sarah moved to Raleigh and their relationship became long distance for two long years. George proposed in 2011 and was able to re-locate finally to Raleigh in 2012 and they set the wedding date of November 23, 2013.  And the wedding planning began--a long time coming! They chose All Saints Chapel for the wedding ceremony and The Stockroom for their reception.
They also chose Marilyn Wienand, Carolina Harp, to provide heavenly music for their wedding ceremony. Marilyn is fantastic and her harp is gorgeous. She also plays piano and organ if anyone is in need of her enormous talent!
The chapel was beautiful with the flower petals and candles on the altar.
Cateringworks did all the florals as well as catering the reception. So pretty!
So, we were ready to begin right on time. Our wedding director in the background is Amelia Davey of When In White. She cued the first couple in who was Mark, father of the groom, and Rebecca, stepmother of the groom.
Our groom, George, escorted his mother, Lana, then joined us at the altar.
Watching the bridesmaids process in.
Our beautiful bride was escorted in by her beautiful mother, Mary!
We began with a warm welcome, prayer, and remembrance of those who have passed on (Sarah's dad).
Then we paid tribute to the parents and then their story!
Their story was fun to tell and we enjoyed some laughs too.
They read their vows to each other from my book and then exchanged rings. (Our photographer was Max with Blue Box Weddings.)
The closing blessing and pronouncement of marriage was next.
The best part---the kiss!
Look at that smile on George's face!
Sarah and George, congratulations! Wonderful wedding and I could tell all your guests really enjoyed being witnesses to your love and commitment to each other. I wish you all the best life can offer!

Such a Sweet Wedding for Sierra and Joey at All Saints Chapel!

Sierra and Joey met in 2008, but it was not until two years later that their friendship began deepening into true love. Sierra was the first of the two to really realize what was happening, that Joey had been right in front of her all this time and she had developed a major crush on him. Spurred on by this incredible revelation, she invited Joey to hang out with her that night. It was then that she broke the big news to him that she really, really LIKED him! Joey didn't have a clue this was coming and was completely blindsided! It took him all night to say it back to her and then they shared their first kiss. They officially became a couple on November 1, 2011 and they contacted me in October of 2012 about officiating their wedding on November 2, 2013 at All Saints Chapel. We signed a contract and got started on their creative romantic ceremony.
When I arrived, the altar was set up with the tree-planting paraphernalia that would be included as a Unity ceremony.
Beautiful Laura Byrne was all set up to provide her beautiful harp music, a dream come true for Sierra.
The groom and groomsmen were shooed out of the chapel so our photographer with Lempa Creative could get pre-ceremony shots of the bridal party. That purple is so pretty!
Love weddings at All Saints Chapel because I get to work with Diana who is so fun, easy going and accommodating. Her attitude is upbeat and so refreshing as she puts her all into making the bride's wedding day be a dream come true!
Family members were escorted in then this handsome gang of 7 groomsmen and the groom and I took our places on the altar.
After the 6 bridesmaids entered, our flower girl, Gabriella, and ring bearer, Ray, entered and took their places.
Sierra's father is visually challenged but was determined to escort his beautiful daughter down the aisle.
With our rehearsal the day before, it went just as planned.
This wedding was at 4:00 in the afternoon and the sun really lit up the chapel that is rather dark in the late afternoon when most weddings take place there. I am amazed at the quality of photos my little camera took at this wedding, thanks to my assistant, Marty.
With that many attendants, we had to move the candelabras back but it worked!
Joey's Godmother, Yvette, read a poem dedicated to those who had passed on or who were unable to attend the wedding. Then Sierra's Aunt Angie shared words by Nicholas Sparks from his book, The Notebook. Unfortunately, I did not get a good photo of her.
I told their story which included what they love about each other and what they are looking forward to in marriage and a funny story about their first camping trip in the snow!
After the tree planting ceremony we closed with a blessing and I made the pronouncement of marriage.
And they begin their next adventure--marriage!
Their photographer took them across the street into the old cemetery for photos. Marty and I tracked them there to get this photo then head on to Durham for the next wedding. Sierra, your dress is magnificent! I loved working with you two and wish you all the best life can bring your way!

Desiree and Adam Wed at All Saints Chapel!

Desiree contacted me in February about officiating their wedding on July 5, 2013 at All Saints Chapel. Their story is really a sweet one. They met at work in December of 2007 and admired each other from a distance. Adam thought Desiree was not only beautiful but fun to work with but it was her ability to balance all the chaos of working in a restaurant in such a seamless way that first truly caught his eye. Desiree knew her orders would come out correct with Adam in charge then she noticed his dreamy eyes, broad shoulders and amazing personality. They hung out with the same group of fellow employees and soon graduated from being just co-workers to acquaintances to best friends.
In March of 2009 they officially became a couple, got engaged, and were blessed with the birth of their adorable son, Aiden, in 2012. He is such a sweet little boy and oh so full of energy!
Their photographer, Ironglass Jack, and their videographer Darrell, both hired by The Pros to cover this wedding, set up the "first look" scene and we got to watch it!
Meanwhile the cake and cupcakes by Brittany Holloman were set up. The Garden on Millbrook was catering the reception.
The birdcage card receptacle and place cards were ready.
Our DJ, Steve, was also provided by The Pros.
Diane on the left with the chapel graciously directed the wedding party for the processional. The bridesmaids wore the prettiest yellow dresses.
Desiree was escorted down the aisle by her sister, Dawn, and her husband, Geoffrey.
I kept this photo because the way the light refracted from the stained glass window behind them is so pretty!
Jack is in the loft taking this photo from above.
Desiree and Adam, you did it! Congratulations! I know you are so happy to be married. Your relationship has already stood the test of time and so I know your marriage will be enduring and satisfying. I wish you all the best!
